Stress & Burnout
If you're running on fumes and can't remember the last time you felt like yourself, this is your sign to slow down. Burnout is a signal, not a personal failing.
You know something has to change. The alarm goes off and dread arrives before the coffee does. You're irritable with the people you love. Rest doesn't rest you anymore. Everyone around you seems to be handling it fine, which somehow makes it worse.
Burnout is not a character flaw
Burnout is what happens when the demands on you outstrip the recovery you're able to get — for long enough that your nervous system starts sounding the alarm. It shows up in caregivers, high-achievers, parents, healthcare workers, teachers, entrepreneurs, and anyone who has been holding too much for too long. It is not laziness, and rest alone rarely fixes it.
How we'll work
We start by taking the pressure off. In our sessions, you don't have to be productive, insightful, or 'making progress.' We'll look at:
- What your body has been trying to tell you
- The invisible labour, expectations, and beliefs holding the pattern in place
- What actually restores you (hint: it may not be what you've been trying)
- Sustainable boundaries, values-aligned choices, and practical shifts you can make
Drawing on ACT and CBT, we'll separate the truly urgent from the just-urgent-feeling, and start rebuilding a life that doesn't require you to be depleted.
